Walt Disney World is preparing to mark its 55th anniversary this October and has offered an early look at several new merchandise items planned for the milestone celebration.
The collection includes a T-shirt, pullover hoodie, and ear headband, each incorporating the anniversary into designs inspired by Walt Disney World and its four theme parks.
The navy blue hoodie features a large Walt Disney World logo across the chest, with a Florida pennant positioned above it. Mickey Mouse appears marching beneath the logo, surrounded by four patches representing Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
A quote appears below Mickey, reading, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” The design also incorporates a subtle “55 Magical Years” graphic in the background, featuring a globe and the 55 arranged to resemble Mickey ears, echoing the classic Walt Disney World logo.
The T-shirt takes a lighter approach with a light blue design featuring Mickey Mouse marching in front of Cinderella Castle. Walt Disney World is printed beneath the castle, with another Florida pennant above it, while “55 Magical Years” appears to the right of the castle.
The anniversary collection will also include a navy blue ear headband. The headband features a dark blue bow covered in white polka dots and an allover print showcasing various Walt Disney World characters and landmarks. Among the imagery featured are Figment, the Hollywood Tower Hotel, the Sorcerer Hat, and the Tree of Life. The 55th anniversary logo is incorporated into the design as well.
Disney has not shared pricing or a release date for these items. We anticipate more merchandise will be part of Walt Disney World’s 55th anniversary.
