Guests visiting Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World may soon have an easier way to experience the park’s popular pirate-themed lounge.

Disney has added a “Join Walk-Up List” option for the Beak and Barrel in the My Disney Experience app, signaling that a walk-up waitlist option may be launching soon.

The Beak and Barrel, located beside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Adventureland, has operated exclusively through advance dining reservations since opening in August 2025. Demand was especially high when reservations first became available, with booking windows filling quickly. Reservations have since become easier to obtain, opening the doors for Disney to begin offering limited same-day access through a walk-up system.

At the time of publication, the walk-up feature does not appear to be fully active. Selecting the button returns an error message indicating that availability cannot be searched at this time and to check dining reservations instead.

Disney has not officially announced plans to offer walk-up availability at the lounge. However, Disney’s decision to add the option to the app suggests it could be activated soon, as has happened with similar features before. If activated, the walk-up list would allow guests to join a same-day queue for seating when capacity is available instead of relying exclusively on reservations.
