What items are not permitted in the park?

Universal Studios Hollywood performs security checks which require all guests to pass through metal detectors and all personal belongings, such as bags and purses, to be inspected. The following items are prohibited:

• Weapons of any kind, which may include objects or toys that appear to be firearms or weapons
• Alcoholic beverages
• Marijuana
• Illegal items or substances
• Clothing likely to create a danger or disturbance
• Clothing that represents emergency personnel or a Universal team member
• Power-driven devices such as Segways (unless utilized as an ADA mobility device), hoverboards, or drones
• Glass containers
• Large coolers of food
• Hard-sided coolers 
• Coolers, suitcases, and bags with wheels
• And more

Please note that foods required for special dietary needs, medical purposes, and medically indicated nutritional supplements as well as baby food/formula are permitted at Universal Studios Hollywood.
