As you may know, unlike many natural disasters that can often be forecast in advance, earthquakes cannot currently be predicted in terms of timing, strength, or duration. Because of this, Universal Studios Hollywood is unable to close in advance of an earthquake. If an earthquake does occur, attractions may temporarily close to ensure guest safety and allow for inspections. In some cases, the park and surrounding areas may remain closed for an extended period afterward to complete more thorough safety checks.
