Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

Our Overview

First introduced as “Progressland” at the 1964–65 New York World’s Fair, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is one of Disney's oldest attractions. Although it has changed since it first debuted, the show still follows one family through different eras, using animatronics and sets to demonstrate how technology and everyday life have changed over time.

The attraction’s theater itself is also part of the experience. The entire theater revolves to transition from scene to scene. This unique design is part of what gives the attraction its name, Carousel of Progress.
