Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event; it is not included with regular theme park admission. In order to attend, you must purchase a ticket specifically for the event. A regular theme park ticket is not required for admission to the event.

A Halloween Horror Nights ticket includes access to all haunted houses, scare zones, shows, and available rides at the Halloween Horror Nights event. Select special experiences, should they be available, may be an additional cost, however. A Halloween Horror Nights ticket only grants you entry to Universal Studios Hollywood for the event; it does not grant regular park admission.

What time does the event start and end?

What will happen if it rains?

Halloween Horror Nights occurs rain or shine; however, it should be noted that the scare zones may not feature scareactors and select shows may be delayed or canceled. Additionally, should flooding occur in any haunted houses, they may be closed indefinitely. Universal will not issue rain checks, returns, or refunds.

Can I dress up at the event?

Universal Studios Hollywood prohibits costumes and costume masks in the park.

Am I permitted to take photos and videos?

You are permitted to take photos and videos at the event unless otherwise stated on signage, but you may not use flash photography in the haunted houses. To be respectful of scareactors, flash photography is not advised in scare zones.

What is Halloween Horror Nights Universal Express?

Halloween Horror Nights Universal Express is the event’s express line system. It is not to be confused with regular Universal Express, which is not valid for the event. The pass allows guests to wait in a separate line at all houses and available rides for significantly shorter wait times.
