Choosing a Disneyland Resort Theme Park Ticket
Disneyland Resort offers numerous ticket options to visit their two parks—Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. To help you select a ticket that’s best for you, we have divided this guide into three sections: ticket options, pricing, and verdict. These sections provide detailed information about each ticket and recommendations based on what you wish to experience. It should be noted that this guide only provides information on standard tickets; vacation packages, annual passes (Magic Key), Disney Genie+, Individual Lightning Lane, and other options are not discussed.

Ticket Options
Disneyland Resort offers one park per day tickets and park-to-park tickets referred to as Park Hopper tickets, which grant access to both parks in a single day. 1-day to 5-day admission can be purchased for either ticket. Tickets require park reservations for entry to the parks.
When purchasing tickets, be on the lookout for any special offers. It should be noted that guests purchasing tickets outside of the United States may purchase other ticket options.

Pricing
Disneyland Resort uses dynamic ticket pricing for select tickets, meaning that the exact cost varies by date. Tickets are more costly on busy days, such as holidays, summertime, and weekends.
The rates displayed on this page are according to online prices published by Disneyland Resort. Guests 2 years of age or younger enter free and do not need a ticket. Rates are displayed in U.S. dollars. Taxes do not apply to tickets for Disneyland Resort. Parking is not included in these rates. You can learn more about these ticket options and purchase tickets at disneyland.com.

Verdict
Disneyland Resort’s two parks immerse you into fantastic worlds and world-renown stories seen in iconic films.
Disneyland Park is the resort’s staple park. It is the only theme park designed and completed under Walt Disney’s direct supervision, and it still houses attractions that opened with the park in 1955. At Disneyland Park, you can visit numerous themed “lands” that transport you to the world of yesterday, tomorrow, fantasy, and beyond, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The park features attractions that all age groups will enjoy.
Disney California Adventure is comprised of themed areas that place guests into Disney films and recognizable California environments. At this park, thrill seekers will find a larger variety of rides; however, younger audiences can look forward to a handful of rides as well.
The best ticket option for you depends on what you wish to experience. Do you want to experience everything Disneyland Resort has to offer or are you only looking for a short getaway?
If you’re only visiting for a single day, consider what the parks have to offer when selecting a ticket. If you’re a thrill seeker, you’ll enjoy Disney California Adventure. If you’re a Disney buff or want to experience the best of Disney, Disneyland Park is highly recommended. We don’t advise selecting a Park Hopper ticket because of the increased cost, inability to hit all attractions, and the overall rushed experience. We believe most audiences will enjoy the experiences in both parks, however, and urge you to visit both if your budget allows for it.
We recommend purchasing at least a one park per day 2-day ticket so that you can experience both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Both theme parks are a full-day experience with plenty of places to explore and attractions you won’t want to miss out on. If your budget allows for it, we strongly recommend purchasing a one park per day 3-day ticket. That way you’ll get to visit both parks and revisit Disneyland Park, which, in our opinion, has so much to see and do, it can be considered a 2-day experience. Park Hopper tickets are not recommended because of the higher cost.
Regardless of which ticket option you choose, purchase your tickets online prior to your trip and make park reservations for each day of your visit; otherwise, you won’t be permitted into the parks. Disneyland Resort tickets can be purchased at disneyland.com or from a trusted agency.
