Theme parks can get pretty crowded and stressful. Sometimes you just need a quick break or a place to relax while your group wanders. This article showcases the best places to relax around Universal Orlando for that time where you have to get away from the craziness of the park.

Gramercy Park

Gramercy Park is a great place to relax because of the many park benches and provided shade. Whether you listen to the classic music playing around the area or kick back and have a snack from the convenient vendor stands nearby, Gramercy Park is perfect for someone looking for a place to relax at the park. You can find Gramercy Park in Universal Studios Florida, directly across the street from Twister… Ride It Out and Revenge of the Mummy. Please note that a section of the park is a designated smoking zone, so be aware that there may be guests smoking, however, there is still plenty of space available to non-smokers.

Starbucks at Universal Studios Florida

The Starbucks right across the street from Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue is a great place to sit down, have a drink, grab a snack, and recharge. There are a few seats and booths in the restaurant that have a great view of the lake and the streets of the park. A bonus is that you are indoors, making it a great opportunity to escape the Florida heat.

Central Park

Central Park is a place not too many people visit. Based off of an area in Central Park, New York, the park provides a very relaxing setting complete with fresh grass, full shade, park benches, iconic vehicles from the film Back to the Future, and great views for Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular (pyrotechnic nighttime show). You also can’t forget about the amazing view, as it is right on the lake. Very little of the park is available to smokers, so this is a great spot to avoid any crowds. You can find Central Park right across from the entrance to Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone in Universal Studios Florida.

Battery Park

Battery Park is located in Universal Studios Florida across from Mel’s Drive-In and Transformers: The Ride 3-D. This is a popular place for viewing the fireworks because of the different ground levels, which allows most guests to see the show at different heights, and overhead shade in some areas. Battery Park makes a great place for picnics as there are park benches under covers and music playing in the area. This is a designated smoking area so expect guests to be smoking.

Toon Lagoon Park

Another place people don’t visit too often is the Toon Lagoon Park. This small park, taking many aspects from Central Park over at Universal Studios Florida, as highlighted earlier in this article, contains plenty of places to sit and relax. The Toon Lagoon Park is located right next to Me Ship, The Olive.

Berlin Wall

A fun fact about Universal Orlando is that they acquired a piece of the Berlin Wall. Out of respect, they put this in a very unpopulated area as to not overcrowd the iconic piece of history. This is definitely a must see for anyone who is visiting Universal Orlando. There isn’t a lot of seating but it is a very nice and solemn place to visit and relax. The Berlin Wall is located right behind the Hard Rock Cafe between Blue Man Group in Universal CityWalk.
